Can't a bank search lien history by VIN?

We're selling an RV and the buyer's bank is asking for us to provide them the original title so they can make sure there is no lien. Problem is, the bank is on the other side of the state and would require taking a day off work and a tank of gas just to deliver it. There has never been a lien on the RV. Can't the bank run some kind of lien search by the VIN? The buyer has provided the VIN to them. Or shouldn't we be able to fax a copy of the title to the bank? Or couldn't our bank verify the title? What's standard procedure in these situations?
