How can i wire a 110v lcd tv into my rv?

i have a 13 inch lcd tv. with a small dvd player id like to hookup to my rv. i was thinking i need a inverter. but do i splice the wires from my tv? or from the inverter and connect it to the lights? or what? let me know plz
